Welcome to the home of United States Marine Corps League, Detachment #1296. We are Marines, Corpsman, and Associates from the "East Valley" of the Phoenix Metro area. Some of our members even come from as far away as the Northern states.

The Marine Corps League perpetuates the traditions and spirit of ALL Marines and Navy FMF Corpsmen, who proudly wear or who have worn the eagle, globe and anchor.

Today, the League boasts a membership of about 70,000 men and women, officer and enlisted, active duty, Reserve Marines, honorably discharged Marine Veterans and qualified Navy FMF Corpsmen and is one of the few Veterans Organizations that experiences increases in its membership each year.

If you have any questions, you may reach us by viewing our Contact Us page."

We invite all Marines in the area to join us at our monthly meetings, both for camaraderie and for the benefit of our community and our veterans. Please take time to check out some of our recent activities.
  • Toys for Tots evolved into a huge enterprise during the five years we were involved. During our last year of involvement, we distributed over 22,000 toys.
  • Our Marine Corps Birthday Ball continues to sell out.  We have had wonderful guest speakers from around the country to address our attendees.  The proceeds from our Birthday Ball go to Marines Helping Marines and the World War II project. Look for more information on our upcoming November 7, 2015 Ball as we get closer to that date.Tickets go on sale to the general public in July, 2015.
  • As part of our Marines Helping Marines support, we sponsor Wounded Warriors and their spouses or dates as our special guests for the Birthday Ball weekend.  We have also instituted an annual golf tournament as one of our many fundraisers.
You can link from the Scuttlebutt section in the right-hand column for more about our many programs. ...and it’s not all work!  We do take time to enjoy each other’s company through social activities, and we support each other in times of need. Whether you are looking to help with a worthy cause or to become involved with a group that is socially active, we welcome your visits.
